Oh Happy Day! Our Little Man turns 4!

So Today is THE day.

Our little Man is turning 4 in just 6 short hours!

Hard to believe that four years ago we were in a hospital room waiting for him to arrive and see what he looked like.

I do want to thank Lizzy for walking the halls with me four years ago as we waited for labor to progress. Your friendship means the world to us, and we love you so very much! I will always cherish those memories, and the hours we spent together as we waited for Logan.

I also want to thank my Mommy for being brave enough to be in the hospital room with us. We love you and we're very thankful Logan has you for a Grandma. Even though we live a state away you are a Major part of Logan's life and always will be.

And the final Person who was there on that day.....

My lovely Husband.

Thank you for giving me such a wonderfully booger headed little boy. (And of course for staying during almost the entire labor/delivery... except for that bit when you had to rush home to pick up the hospital bags ;] ) <3 You two are the most important guys in my life.

And this concludes your yearly dose of sappyness. For those who were there during the Labor/Birth of Little/Big Logan four years ago.

I love you all.

Birthday Pictures to come later this week.

Final Review for Private Selections Foods!

So this is my last review for the Private Selection BzzAgent campaign. I'm very glad I decided to break the products up and try them individually on different nights. I think it helped me with reviewing each item.

The final Private Selection product we tried was the Pepperoni Thin Crust pizza.

Let me start by saying it looks pretty much like every other frozen pizza out there. It has a good amount of pepperoni's on it, and a good amount of cheese as well.

The pizza cooks really quickly and cools down quickly, so if you're looking for something fast this would be it.

**Be sure to watch it closely though as it does turn brown quickly if you're not paying close attention**

Upon tasting the pizza, it honestly tastes the same as most other frozen pizza's. Which is neither good or bad I guess as it didn't taste horrible... It was just okay.

One of those if it's there, sure I'll eat it, if it's not, I wont really miss it, kinds of foods.

I'm on the fence on whether or not we'll be trying a new pizza, maybe one with more crust as the 'Thin' crust does kind of resemble a cracker like taste once it cools.

I'm going to give the pizza 3 stars simply because it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't amazing.

Over all My experiences with Private Selection have been decent and I'm glad we were able to try out new foods. We will be buying the Deserts again and maybe if we ever get brave enough possibly try out a different appetizer/pizza combonation.

BzzAgent/Private Selection Review PART 2!

So I tried out the Chicken Trumpet appetizers from Private Selections last night as part of the BZZAGENT campaign I'm currently working on..

I have to say, I was very unimpressed with them.
I finished the entire batch, and my husband asked me why on earth I ate them all... I ate them all solely for the review. (Hey you never know, maybe one or two or four were just bad?)

Let me start by saying they look AMAZING on the plate/and on the box.

But that's pretty much it.
They are small, which is fine. Size isn't really the issue here...

Issue ONE: Not enough "Chicken" in the "Chicken trumpet" Seriously, there was about one small piece of chicken in each trumpet, if that.

Issue TWO: Too many peppers. It's like they tried to make up for the lack of chicken by adding excessive amounts of peppers?

Issue THREE: Uh Cheese? Cheese would be good.... It says cheese is there some where, but when I bit into them, I tasted no cheese.. There was one trumpet that had some oily stuff squirt out at me, was that the cheese?

The shells were good though...
I will not be buying the appetizers again, really don't seem worth it to pay for something that's supposed to be a chicken trumpet with cheese, and end up with a side of chicken and a slab of peppers.

So far not a bad experience, I've tried the Appetizers which get an F. And I've tried the Deserts which get about a B+

Will have my review on the pizza coming shortly.

BzzAgent/Private Selection Review PART 1!

So this is part 1 of my review for Private Selection samples I received as part of a BZZAGENT campaign.

So tonight we tried the Private Selections Desert -Lava Cakes as part of a BzzAgent Campaign.

The cakes were well priced, $4.99 for 4 cakes in one box. They were a decent size as well.
One cake was enough for me, and I do enjoy sweets.

I was not expecting much, since the preparation for the cakes involves heating them in the microwave for 40 seconds.

The cake was good, came out soft, the lava came out nice and hot just like it should have.

The taste was pretty good too, it tasted pretty much like a lava cake should... well minus the ice cream part. The lava was thick and gooey and there was just enough in each cake to last until the very last bite of the cake was gone.

We will more then likely be buying more Lava Cakes from Private selections as they are yummy and fast, and fairly priced.

Maybelline 'Lots of Lashes/ Baby Lips' Review!

I recently tried my Maybelline products.

((((((I was able to try these products due to being a BzzAgent. for more information go to www.bzzagent.com))))))

The Lots of Lashes mascara is good, it doesn't clump when you put it on which is nice and it goes on fairly easy. However I do not like the brush. I found it to be small, and since there is no real shape to the brush it is kind of a pain to put it on the inside eye lashes.

Over all Lots of Lashes is a good product, and I would recommend it to friends in the future.

Now on to the Baby Lips lip gloss... This product is nice, however instructions say it takes at least four weeks to see the 'improvements' they have listed on the back. I've only been using it for about 3 days now so no real improvements. I really wish there was a shape to the lip gloss instead of it just being a giant stick of lip gloss. (No shape means you have to watch where you're putting it if you have little upper lip like me lol) The lip gloss goes on smoothly, but if you use one of the color glosses and have cracked lips you WILL see the cracks through the gloss so be aware of that when deciding color/no color gloss ;)

Over all Baby Lips is so far a good product, I will have to update again in four weeks time to see if there have been any major 'lip' improvements.

I would recommend both Lots of Lashes and Baby Lips to those who are searching for something new at a great low price.

Update on everything.

I became very ill at the end of April (Which is why my blog 'died')
I was hospitalized for 4 days, with pneumonia. I have since been trying my best to recover and deal with a mountain of bills.

We moved in late June, to a smaller place. Sadly the place is up for sale, so for now we're just crossing our fingers we can stay in it as long as possible.

I was recently offered a job, yay! I will be starting next Monday (10-17) Can't wait. I'm excited to be working, but a little sad to have to spend so much time away from my son.

I'm going to try my hardest to keep the blog running while I'm working. Now that my health is getting better hopefully it will continue to stay that way.

Crazy month

So a LOT has happened since we all became ill with the flu. We started spreading it back and forth and I think we all ended up with at least 3 or 4 colds each.

Logan came down with hives about 2 weeks ago. He woke up with them on his legs, I called hubby told him to come home from work, and he took us to the emergency room. (Logan's doctor wasn't seeing any patients last month) By the time we got back to get his oxygen levels and height/weight checked his bottom lip had started to swell up. They gave him two medications orally, and a shot in the leg to bring the swelling down fast because of how bad it was spreading. We were there for about 2 to 3 hours total.

Since then, I started my volunteer work two days a week, four hours a day at the local KidZone. It is so much fun, I look forward to helping out every Friday and Saturday. They also do birthday parties there, so hubby and I are talking about planning one of Logan's parties there.. (probably after Hawaii 2012 vacation)

I've also contacted my local Project Linus Chapter, and signed up with them. I just started creating my first blanket last night.

The main reason I signed up is my son has received two beautiful Project Linus blankets, one when he broke his arm, and the second one just two weeks ago when he woke up with hives covering his legs. Both blankets are beautiful, the second one is quilted and has kitties all over it so of course Logan just loves it.

Seeing how much joy a simple thing like a blanket can bring a sick kid, especially my sick kid made me want to help out. Since Project Linus relies on donations of handmade blankets, I figured I could crochet some.

I've also signed up to be a host for Child's Play Party... Still learning more about it, so will post information as I get it.

That's all for now. :)

Flu

The dreaded flu has hit....
On the up side of things, After hosting a House Party Pull Ups dance party, my son has been wearing Pull Ups non stop with only one accident. (Which I'm thinking is due to the flu) He's getting back on track with potty training... Which means no trips to Grandma's so he continues to stay on track. I'm so over diapers... And I'm so proud of him for wearing Pull Ups with very little fuss. Will update more once the flu is gone from my home.
Also check out House Party for your chance to host a Little Debbies Cloud Cake party!
